Develop the Scope of Work (SOW)

For Local Health Jurisdictions (LHJ):
Complete the following activities utilizing Comprehensive HIV Prevention Plan [PDF]:

  • Establish HIV prevention goals and objectives, and steps to meet those goals
  • Describe the target Behavioral Risk Groups (BRG)
  • Identify appropriate prevention interventions for each BRG
  • Plan data collection and evaluation efforts
  • Allocate funding to providers within the jurisdiction

What to include:

  • Goals
  • Objectives
  • Behavioral Risk Groups
  • Intervention description and key activities
  • Service provider collaboration
  • Evaluation plan: process and outcome
  • Fiscal documents
  • Letter of concurrence from the LIG

For Providers:
Utilizing the Comprehensive HIV Prevention Plan to complete these steps:
  • Establish HIV prevention goals and objectives, and steps to meet those goals
  • Describe the target Behavioral Risk Group (BRG) the organization serves
  • Identify proposed prevention intervention(s)
  • Plan data collection and evaluation efforts

The SOW needs to include:

  • Goals
  • Objectives
  • Service provider collaboration
  • Behavioral Risk Group
  • Intervention description and key activities
  • Evaluation plan: process and outcome
  • Fiscal documents
