Intervention Selection Tool Help

To search using the intervention selection tool:
The intervention selection tool allows you to find an intervention by selecting among 13 different criteria, including behavioral risk group, race/ethnicity, sex/gender, and intervention type. The selections you make should be based on characteristics of the target population and prevention activities that you have determined for your Local Health Jurisdiction. Interventions that match the selections are displayed in the right column. The search for appropriate interventions narrows as you select additional characteristics. Up to ten interventions are immediately displayed; to see all matching interventions, select "Show Me More Matches". You may sort matching interventions according to evaluation category or by availability of curriculum.

To search by keyword:
Either search by keywords or use the keyword search box on the results pages. Enter a keyword(s) associated with an intervention you are searching for. A full list of matching interventions will display. Helpful search terms refer to:

  • target population
  • race/ethnicity
  • sex/gender
  • target behavior
  • intervention name
